Transparent California – Why is James Gregg paid Twice?

Chief of Police Coe is the highest paid employee in Beaumont with $195,770 in regular pay and $353,059.91 in total wages and benefits.

City Manager Alan Kapanicas was paid $224,180 in regular pay and $323,428.03 in total wages and benefits.

Police Lieutenant II Scott Beard was paid $147,472 in regular pay and $274,082.64 in total wages and benefits.

Finance Director William Aylward was paid $193,502 in regular pay and $256,490 in total wages and benefits.

Police Lieutenant II David Schuler was paid $137,605 in regular pay and $244,438.10 in total wages and benefits.

Police Lieutenant II Sean Thuilliez was paid $147,472 in regular pay and $238,262.64 in total wages and benefits.

Police Lieutenant I Gregory Fagan was paid $127,171.20 in regular pay and $229,679.91 in total wages and benefits.

But what’s that on page three?

Risk Manager Jame Gregg is paid again – $21,865 in regular wages and $41,788 in total wages and benefits.

That brings James Gregg’s total wages and benefits to $214,224.

The City refuses to release the checks from the 2nd checkbook listed on the Bank of Hemet account on the theory that the checks are ‘confidential’.

Incorrect.

Government Wages are a matter of Public Record in the State of California.  The City refuses to release the checks from the 2nd checkbook because they have something to hide.
