When the State of California closed down RDA the City of Beaumont tried to cover up their Embezzlement by claiming the City of Beaumont loaned $21.5 Million to the Beaumont Redevelopment Agency (RDA).
Not only did the City never have $21.5 Million to loan the RDA, Beaumont doesn’t have any RDA Bonds – they are all Mello Roos Bonds. Beaumont’s entire RDA operation was a scam. There was never any doubt that this was a Forgery on the City’s Financial Statements as the State Department of Finance affirmed on May 17, 2016.
However; the Law Firm of Slovak Baron Empey Murphy Pinkney charged the City $38,389.65 under the guise of ‘RDA’.
On January 25, 2016, Charles Lester Gallagher from the Law Firm of Slovak Baron Empey Murphy Pinkney proclaimed in Council that $19.8 Million was legitimate and that “it’s possible that the State will still reject this, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the process”.
A Public Records’ Request for validation of Gallagher’s statements was submitted, but neither Gallagher or the City could provide documentation of Gallagher’s statements.
I handed the Law Firm of Slovak Baron Empey Murphy Pinkney the documentation showing that the RDA Loan was a Forged Asset. Anyone with any ‘expertise’ would have realized that Beaumont’s entire RDA operation was fraud because the City has no RDA Bonds.
We can call it ‘failing to act competently, but when a lawyer has all the facts and continues to lie – it’s Fraud.
