On June 16, 2015 the Beaumont City Council was presented with an Invoice from the Public Safety Memorial Committee for $19,560 to complete the $84,595.98 project: http://www.ci.beaumont.ca.us/DocumentCenter/View/25660

The Committee Members included Greg Dalhstrom — Owner of Hemet Valley Monuments.

Hemet Valley Monuments charged the City $34,560 for two bronze statues and “the cost to wrap 2 concrete pillars in granite”. The statues are worth about $100/each and the “concrete pillars in granite” are wooden boxes wrapped in a ‘granite look’ linoleum.

On June 30, 2015, the City of Beaumont issued Check #89062 to Hemet Valley Monuments for $20,060; $500 more than authorized by Council. Another Marble Memorial was constructed 10 yards from this Memorial.

Hemet Valley Monuments was also gifted a $50,000 RDA Loan: http://publicdocs.beaumontcares.com/WebLink8/DocView.aspx?id=106652&dbid=0

There are no Redevelopment Bonds in Beaumont. The money was taken from Mello Roos property owners and gifted to special members of the private sector.

On April 22, 2015 the City of Beaumont was raided by the FBI and Riverside D.A.’s Office. The State Controller began an Investigation on May 19th.
