Riverside County’s Denial of Accountability Allows State Treasurer to Take Control

Dear Sir or Madam:
The County has received your administrative appeal of special taxes levied in relation to an Improvement Area of CFD 93-1 of the City of Beaumont. Please be advised, that the County has no jurisdiction to provide an administrative review of such taxes.
You are directed to file your administrative appeal with the Legislative Bond of CFD 93-1, which is the City Council of the City of Beaumont.
Pursuant to the Beaumont’s Special Tax Ordinances and the incorporated Rate and Method of Apportionment of Special Taxes (“RMA”), an appeal must be directed to the CFD 93-1.
You can find the Special Tax Ordinance and the RMA’s for the respective Improvement Area on the City of Beaumont website, under “About Beaumont” and “CFD 93-1”.
