Beaumont’s 2016 Year in Review

2015 Ended with FBI Raids and State Controller’s Report exposed Beaumont’s Corruption. Beaumont City Council brought in a new lineup of crooks to pillage the Taxpayers’ money, attempt to acquire more illegal bond debt, and declared: “We can’t hire a City Manager because Kapanicas will sue.”

The Meeting with Water Districts ended with ‘we’ll call you’ from Beaumont City Council.

Citizens’ Initiative to limit growth until Infrastructure was built was crushed by Staff and Council.

TUMF Judgement was dragged out another year adding another $3 Million to the Taxpayers’ Debt.

JANUARY:

JULY:

  • Pardee Files $3 Million Claim for Mitigation Fee Reimbursement.

OCTOBER:

  • Webb & Associates released phony Wastewater Feasibility Study.
  • Pardee Homes Improvement Area 7E changes from CFD 93-1 to CFD 2016-4.
  • Todd Parton becomes Beaumont City Manager the 4th.

NOVEMBER:

  • Morongo Tribe reveals that City promised Title 22 Recycled Water to the Tribe and they want it by the End of the Year.
  • Council Ignores reality and Approves ‘go it alone’ $95 Million Sewer Expansion that doesn’t include Recycled Water.
  • After two years of not doing their jobs; Nancy Carroll and Julio Martinez are elected to the Beaumont City Council.
  • Sunny Cal rises from Dead.
  • Brian Forebath from Straddling Yocca confirms that the SEC has locked the City of Beaumont out of the Bond Industry.

DECEMBER:

  • Disclaimer of Opinion Issued on Beaumont’s 2014 Financial Statements by Auditing Firm of Van Lant Finkhanel. City hides Auditor Report.
  • Finance & Audit Committee laughs off Audit.

2016 ends with Tolling Agreements for every Crook involved in Beaumont’s corruption, no Recycled Water, no Fire Stations, no Local Road Improvements, no Audited Financial Statements, and the continuation of promising to illegally trade Mitigation Fees for Bond Debt.

In 2017 Beaumont Taxpayer can look forward to the outcome of the TUMF Judgement that’s now over $65 Million and the continuation of funneling money to lawyers, consultants instead of providing services – by Council’s Direction and Approval.
