$8 Million ‘profit’ in CFD Taxes for City of Beaumont in 2017

The ‘Old Beaumont’ only Overcharged $6 Million to CFD Property Owners, but the ‘New Beaumont’ Overcharges $8 Million.

The City of Beaumont paid a total of $16,484,795.64 CFD Bond Interest and Payment in 2017.

On January 20, 2017 the City collected $14,247,770.65 Property Taxes. On May 18, 2017 the City collected $13,554,245.79 in Property Taxes, which makes a total of $27,802,016.44.

Approximately $3 Million of the Property Taxes is for Basic Property Taxes, which leaves the City of Beaumont with an $8 Million ‘profit’ in CFD Taxes.

The additional $8 Million profit is collected to pay for the Infrastructure ‘Services’, but there are no Fire Stations or a Recycled Water Facility, so there are no services to pay.
