I spoke with the State Controller’s Office today. I am meeting with them at their office on June 17th.
I was told that a Three-Person Team will arrive in Beaumont on June 25th. They will stay a couple weeks and meet with anyone at that time that has information regarding the City of Beaumont.
There’s nothing they do with accusations and rumors, they must have documentation and state law.
The three main areas the State Auditors look at are Redevelopment, Payroll, and Gas Tax/Prop A funds.
