Didn’t the Bond Salesmen Say They Would Be Back on July 11th With the Bank Agreements to Refinance the Bonds? What Happened?
At the June 20, 2017 Beaumont City Council Meeting the Bond Lawyers and Consultants stated that they would be back on July 11, 2017 with Agreements from the two Banks to Refinance Beaumont’s CFD Bonds.
Earlier today the City of Beaumont released a confusing announcement stating that the Regular July 4th Council Meeting was Canceled, but a Special Council Meeting was scheduled for July 4, 2017.
That didn’t make sense, so I called the Beaumont City Hall and asked for clarification. Apparently the Announcement had already been written with the ‘Special Meeting’ included, but when the July 11th Meeting was ‘for some reason’ canceled the sentence wasn’t removed.
Below is the updated and corrected Announcement. There is no July 11, 2017 Special Meeting Scheduled at this time ‘for some reason’ . I don’t know why.
Does anyone know why the Bond Lawyers and Consultants will not be back with signed agreements from the Banks the City was trying to scam?
