Councilmen Orozco and Condon Couldn’t Pass It Fast Enough. Maybe their Payoffs from Developers were Burning a Hole in their Pockets.
On August 16, 2016 the Beaumont City Council Approved continuing the Potrero Interchange Scam.
In a 3 to 2 vote Councilmen White and Lara attempted to explain why the Project was fraudulent. Orozco, Knight, and Condon attempted to cut off conversation to shut up their fellow Councilmen.
The parade of developers, lawyers, and consultants went on for an hour. The Beaumont Taxpayers forked out thousands for Mike Busch from Urban Futures to ‘sell it’ to Council.
Congrats to Mike Lara for stepping up to the plate and attempting to reason with his fellow Councilmen, abet too little too late.
Everyone knew that Orozco and Knight were sellouts; they consider the ability to bed down with anything for a dollar to be their most redeeming quality.
The shocker was Condon.
If anyone had any hope that Condon was anything more than another sellout – that hope was dissipated tonight.
