2016-04-27o

On March 1. 2016, Beaumont City Council Approved the Issuance of a Legislative Subpoena to compel Union Bank to release the Mello Roos Bond Records.

At the March 15th Council Meeting City Attorney Pinkney stated that Union Bank had been Served the Subpoena and Union Bank agreed to cooperate with the City and released the Records.

The Subpoena tells another story.

The Process Servers’ Notes state:

“Wednesday, 03/02/2016 2:00pm I waited for the subject [Nabeel Badawi] to come out of his office. When he finally came out I explained why I was there. He told me to wait a minute and then he disappeared for another 25 minutes. I had to keep asking other employees to tell him that I was still waiting out in front.

When the subject did reappear he stated that he was told not to accept the subpoena and that he was not going to touch the documents. I announced series and left the documents on the counter in his presence. Attempt made by: Barrett Gunnell. Attempt at: 120 S. San Pedro Street, Suite 400 Los Angeles, CA 90012
