Area 7D makes the 5th Development Area that is being charged Mello Roos Taxes without Bond Debt
On May 20, 2014 Council passed Agenda Item 7.c. Public Hearing on Consideration to Amend the Rate and Method of Apportionment of Special Tax for Improvement Area 7D Four Seasons
K. Hovnanian ‘voted’ to allow the City to attach liens onto the houses of future Property Owners. However, no bond has ever been issued to the property.
At the time of the ‘vote’ there were no houses built in Four Seasons Area 7D. The 2016 Special Tax Rolls prepared for the City lists 112 property owners.
The City of Beaumont has four (4) other Development Areas that are being charged a Mello Roos Services Fee on their 2016 Property Taxes, but Area 7D is being charged both a Facilities Fee and a Service Fee.
Four Seasons Area 7D Property Owners are being charged a total of $1,403.42:
CFD 93-1 7D Facilities Fee = $1,092.00
CFD 93-1 7D Services Fee = $311.42
