The November 2013 Citibank statement shows the inter-bank transfers to and from Union Bank are now categorized and listed on the last page of the monthly bank statements for more accountability.
The January 7th 2014 Beaumont Check Warrants list Check # 84719 issued to Union Bank for $15,353.02. Up until this time Union Bank was paid through inter-bank transfers.
Maybe Judy Bingham can’t make the City do anything they don’t want to, but apparently someone can.
The question is who?
Who changed the City’s bank statements? It could have been the State because it’s Cali Taxpayer’s money. It could have been the Feds because banking is primarily controlled by federal law. Or it could have been Citibank in an attempt to protect themselves.
Who forced the City to issue a check so that the People could see that Union Bank makes $15,000 per month in fees instead of paying by inter-bank transfer?
It could have been the State or the Feds, or it could have been Union Bank in an attempt to protect themselves.
