The BCVWD currently has 17,393 accounts as of October 31, 2017. The additional Infrastructure is for the houses planned in the next decade that will take the City of Beaumont from a population of 46,000 to 90,000.
The City of Beaumont has 10,659 currently under construction:
4,450 houses in Sundance
3,300 houses in Fairway Canyon
1,890 houses in Four Seasons
981 houses in Heartland
38 apartments Seasons on Illinois Ave.
10,659 houses under construction without filing legal CEQA EIRs. 10,659 houses under construction without a secured 20-year water supply. 10,659 houses under construction without Recycled Water.
One Fire Station planned for the Warehouses, but no Fire and Safety planned for the residential areas. Roadways planned aren’t enough for the current population.
The City wants to impose a Sewer Fee Increase on the current Residents to pay for the increased Sewer Capacity and a ‘go it alone’ Brine Line to dispose of the salt for the Recycled Water facility that does not exist.
The Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District doesn’t talk about how they will pay for the water they will need or how they will acquire enough water to service a population of 90,000 people.
