Joint Workshop between the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District & City of Beaumont. Held at School District, 350 Brookside at 5:00 pm
At 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 a joint Workshop between the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District and the City of Beaumont will be held at the School District Administrative Office located at 350 Brookside Ave.
The Beaumont City Council must choose whether to Keep the Sewer Plant or Release the Sewer Plant to the Beaumont-Cherry Valley and Yucaipa Valley Water Districts.
Over the years, the City of Beaumont and Yucaipa Valley Water District have both collected over $70 Million in Taxes, Mitigation Fees, and Bond Debt.
Yucaipa built a Wastewater and Title 22 Compliant Recycled Water Facility that is large enough to include services for Beaumont’s Sewer and Recycled Water needs.
The Beaumont Staff and Council Misused and Embezzled the Taxpayer’s Money leaving a Sewer Plant that is Deteriorated Beyond Repair.
On August 25, 2016 the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board issued an Investigative Order after a preliminary investigation revealed that the City was in Capacity Violation, Forged Government Documents, and has No Federal NPDES Permit for Commercial and Industrial Waste. The investigative order document can be found here.
Beaumont City Council paid Albert Webb and Associates $155,790 to prepare a Feasibility Report that is insultingly skewed. View the report here.
The options are not between $100 Million and $165 Million. The options are between Releasing the Sewer Plant to the Water Districts, which will release the City of all future financial obligations, or to Keep the Sewer Plant and all financial obligations.
The Beaumont City Council recently Transferred $5 Million from the Sewer Fund to the General Fund, which left $834,000 in the Sewer Fund.
Beaumont Staff and Council have Wasted the last $70 Million and burned every bridge available to raise the $100 Million needed to Expand and Upgrade the Sewer Plant.
Council can not ask the Taxpayers for more money. The $5 Million transferred to the General Fund was Revenue collected from an Illegal Sewer Fee Increase that ‘Council Approved’ on March 5, 2013.
The City Can Not Produce Audited Financial Statements needed to acquire State and Federal Funding and the last Bond Acquired for the Sewer was Called in November, 2014 because all the money was Misused.
Beaumont Staff and Council want to keep the Sewer Plant because it provides them with Millions of dollars per year of ‘Free Money’ to pay off $900/hour Lawyers and Worthless Consultants.
Years of Lies, Misuse of Sewer Funds, and No Escrow Account for Funds Collected has left the Citizens with a $100 Million Infrastructure Need and a Dwindling Water Supply.
Your Current City Council have brought in ‘new faces’ to continue the Same Fraudulent Schemes as the past City Council.
The November 2nd Meeting is the City’s Last Chance to do the Right Thing for the Citizens. If the Beaumont City Council Refuse to Release the Sewer Plant to the Water Districts the State will be Forced to Take Action.
Webb and Associates’ Forged Report as well as Documents Proving Beaumont Staff and Council’s Fraud and Misuse of Sewer Funds have been Submitted to the State Water Quality Control Board, the Attorney General, SEC, and the FBI.
A Complaint Against Beaumont Public Works Director Amer Jakher with the California Board for Professional Engineers has also been submitted for Fraud, Perjury, and Forging Government Documents.
- Beaumont’s Sewer Plant is Deteriorated Beyond Repair.
- Expansion in the Current Location is not Feasible.
- There is No Money for a $100 Million Upgrade and Expansion.
Council Must Do What Is Right and Release the Sewer Plant to the Water Districts or the State Will Force the Release at Additional Costs to the Taxpayers.
Council is Pushing this Decision Before the Next Election. Notify Your Current Councilmen to Vote to Release the Sewer Plant to the Water Districts.
