Melana Taylor Signed as ‘Finance Staff’ and Customer Service Coordinator Karee Keyser Signed City Document as Finance Director.
When the City transferred the Mello Roos Bond Principle and Interest Payments in August they were required to submit a Transfer Request Form signed by the City’s Finance Director, City Manager, and another Member of the Financial Staff.
The August, 2016 Transfer lists the Signatures as follows:
Karee Keyser: Name of Requestor (Melana Taylor’s name is printed, but crossed out.)
Richard Warne: City Manager
Melana Taylor: Financial Staff
Melana Taylor is an Accountant and CPA, but apparently she’s now refusing to sign the City’s documents.
Taylor has already gotten herself a decade of prison time for forging the City’s 2015 Financial Statements and Sewer Fund Statement, so I don’t know why she’s quibbling about signing the Debt Service Transfer, which wasn’t a forged document until Karee Keyser signed as Finance Director.
For those of you that don’t know Karee Keyser; she’s part of the original Lollypop Guild. The State Controllers’ Office lists Karee Keyser as a “Customer Service Coordinator” making $64,000/yr.
Karee’s Husband is Mark Keyser, a Sergeant with the Beaumont Police Department that with benefits makes $200,000/yr.
The Beaumont City Council thinks that they’re fooling people, but the fact that the City Council REFUSES to establish and hire the staff needed to properly operate a Finance Department proves to the State and Feds that the City is continuing the same corrupt practices as in the past.
