BEAUMONT – (INT) – City officials confirm that search warrants were served Wednesday at the Beaumont Civic Center, the offices of Urban Logic Consultants, and several private homes.

The warrants were served in conjunction with an investigation into Urban Logic’s business relationship with the City as part of a corruption probe.

Urban Logic Consultants, a private company, has provided engineering, planning, and economic development services to the City of Beaumont for 20 years.

An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that agents were assisting with the search warrants in Beaumont as well as at locations in Temecula and Palm Desert.

Sources told the Los Angeles Times that the warrants were part of a public corruption investigation conducted by a Riverside-based task force.

The City is fully cooperating with the District Attorney’s investigation, according to a statement issued late Wednesday.
