Beaumont Special Meeting What Did We Learn?

“The Issue is Trust. There’s a Circle of Agencies that Trust Each Other. Beaumont is Not Among that Circle.”

It was a packed 1918 school room.

During Public Comment Dr. Ball and Judy Bingham stated again that transferring Restricted Sewer Funds to the General Fund and calling it ‘reimbursing the CFDs’ is illegal regardless of how much money Council spent to be told otherwise.

Webb’s ‘opinion’ is the option that includes $3/4 Million Contract gifted to Webb and Associates with optional task of $50,000 and $4 Million design. How convenient for them.

Webb: “Yucaipa said they have No Excess Capacity in their Brine Line.”

LIe that was so blatant that Councilman White even had to correct his trusted staff that never lies to him.

What Yucaipa said is that they have capacity, but they’re not going to give/sell their capacity to the City.

Dirty Della ask: “Why are were here?”

You’re ‘here’ because the City of Beaumont has spent the last 22 years forging government documents and embezzling the money that was supposed to be used to build a Title 22 Compliant Recycled Water Facility and Brine Disposal including $5 Million JUST LAST WEEK!!

White: “I do believe that all of our Consultants have been honest with us.”

At this point, who is Lloyd talking to? He can repeat that to himself over and over, but it’s not going to change the fact that the Beaumont City Council hired the Associates of the former Crooks – what results did anyone expect?

It’s ‘all or nothing’ because the Water Districts will not waste their time dealing with the City of Beaumont because the Beaumont Staff and Council are nothing bunch a bunch of crooks.

Brenda Knight spends her last night on the Dais to promote the Citizens’ Recycled Water be sold to the Golf Courses. Keep it classy all the way to the end.

Judy Bingham: “This is the Council’s last chance to do the right thing. No one is going to beg you to release the sewer.” “Thank you Brenda Knight.”

Patsy Reely: “You plan and you plan and you plan, but you’ll never turn a shovelful of dirt.” “Today is almost too late.” “This Council is continuing the same corrupt practice.”

Diane Franklin: “Houses keep going up. The builders have to have some kind of responsibility.”

Tom Shaloub: On Yucaipa Valley Water District. Calimesa and Yucaipa District. “All Yucaipa Water District does is water and sewer, so they can specialize.”

Dr. Ball: The issue is trust. There’s a circle of Agencies that trust each other. Beaumont is not among that circle.” “The Recycled Water belong to the people. You can not sell it. It would be stealing from us.”

Orozco: “We can’t make the Developers responsible.”

Amer Jakher: “Our sewer revenues are much higher than our expense.”

Jakher: “initial loan of $70 Million”

Jakher: Public/Private Partnership “We can ask for $80 Million.”

Knight: “Is there a program out there that will keep the rates down for Senior Citizens?

Yea – it’s called not overcharging them.

Pinkney: “Prop 218 doesn’t allow.”

Really Pinkney? You want to bring up Prop 218??

Lara: “The money’s gone. There’s nothing we can do to bring that back.”

You can stop stealing it – you just stole $5 Million last week.

Lara: “I too trust our Staff and Consultants and Lawyers.”

Did Orozco have the nerve to say that the management at the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District needs to be changed?

And really Brenda Knight, are you really going to repeat that b.s. story about having a ‘technical degree’ in Wastewater?

White: Motion to direct Staff to bring back to a future Meeting with a ‘concept’ of an Ad-Hoc relationship with the BCVWD.

“I agree” “Absolutely”.

White: Now I make a Motion to Approve Option 1, Section 1, Item a. and b , and include ‘BCVWD’.

Passes Unanimously

Orozco: Motion for Option 1 Item 2: Gift $892,838 to Webb

Unanimously Approved
